Welcome the Latest WCBN Affiliate: The One Word, Go! Show!

Please welcome the newest addition to the Webcast Beacon Network family, The One Word, Go! Show!

According to their website, “The One Word, Go! Show is a comedy podcast created by best friends Mat Torchia and Dan Loree. Each week, they take a listener submitted word , and use it to jump-start a conversation.

After making the decision to start a podcast, they spent a night on Skype deciding on what exactly the show would be about, and what they would call it. Luck would have it that this very conversation was recorded while testing both their sound set-ups.”

That is right. They take user submitted word, draw from a pile at random, and that word is the topic of that week’s episode! I would have submitted “webcomics” myself, but I contained myself and submitted something else. The show features four friends that play well off of each other. It’s quite fun to listen to them banter and rag on each other!

I will say that this show is likely NSFW on any of their episodes due to the level of cursing; thus the WCBN website episode posts will be tagged as such.

The participatory nature of the podcast, along with the chemistry of the co-hosts, is why I have asked The One Word, Go! Show crew to be part of the Webcast Beacon Network. Please enjoy this with their most recent episode “Breakfast“, or pick one of the other 24 episodes they’ve already done!

The One Word, Go! Show: “Breakfast”

On today’s show, we break bad right from the get-go with a word from RJ Mitte. Mat and Fish remember their favourite childhood books, Breanne gets hit on with cheesy pickup lines, and Dan orders pizza from Canada.

Remember this show is NSFW

    • Speaking of Blackberry, it lost almost 1 billion last quarter…
    • …And Grand Theft Auto V made over 1 billion in its first three days
    • Need further proof that Android tablets are flooded with cheap pieces of crap? Tesco – a UK supermarket – is making one called the Hudl.
    • Gabe Newell, in his quest for supreme insanity, anounced SteamOS, yet another linux fork built for ‘living room’ devices.
    • iOS 7 is now in the wild
    • Microsoft doubles down on Surface.
  • Paul and Mike discuss some of their thoughts for the current Iron Brewer round (Yes, I’m saying it that way to try and make it a regular thing – Mike)
