Holy mother of carp, the artwork on Rice Boy is amazing. I wish I could produce something that simple but which captures the fell of an entire world. That’s an amazing skill!
Just one other thing: Fes, if you’re unnerved by run-down buildings made with wood supports, don’t visit anywhere maintained by English National Heritage (should you ever come to Britain). You’ll be scarred for life. 😉
Maintained old, versus abandoned-old, are two different things. Also placement is a huge factor. It’s a perception thing too, but it’s very context sensitive.
