Hey, just FYI, the reason that Marvel is asking Friedrich to pay them that amount of money is because Friedrich was selling signed bootleg posters made from Ghost Rider comic cover art–Friedrich is a writer only, not an artist. He wasn’t selling original art or sketches, but bootleg posters featuring art that he had no license to reproduce. The amount he is to pay to Marvel covers amounts he made off of pirated prints of things that he really had no business selling in the first place, as he was not the artist, and had no affiliation with the artists whose work he was bootlegging. There’s a great explanation of the entire situation here: http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/02/16/marvel-publisher-buckley-quesada-ghost-rider-friedrich-lawsuit/

Anyhow, did you know that I haven’t seen a new podcast from you guys show up on itunes since November 25th? Your feeds appear to be broken.

The Newscast feed seems to have been broken for no apparent reason. i could not figure out why it sorta worked but also didn’t. Either way, it had to completely change. I had since merged the Newscast feed with The Webcomic Beacon. You will need that feed now.

I have to say that I don’t really care for the new format. The first half of the show seems rather lifeless and dull. I don’t listen to you guys to get the news because I hear about it as it happens. What I love about the show is hearing your opinions on the news. The old format may have been disoragnized and specific stories may not have gotten talked about but it was really entertaining and fun.

Can’t please everybody, it seems. We had been getting more negative feedback than good, which prompted the change in format.

Perhaps there is a balance somewhere. They are still trying things out. Thanks for your feedback!
