The songs used in this episode include the original Doctor Who theme, and also the end was “Doctoring the Tardis”… and the break song is… I don’t know because it was not listed on the, now taken down, YouTube vid I got it from.

What was “Canada’s embarrassment” mentioned when talking about low-budget Canadian series? You guys are talking over each other, so I couldn’t make it out.
Also, by the way, I am very much a huge font nerd (with a bachelor’s in graphic design). I’m usually busy Sundays, but if you finalize a Font Episode date, give me a heads up and I could maybe try to show up.
Katie: Rich tells me it was “The Starlost” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Starlost)
This is the first time I’ve heard the show. Pretty good. Now I’m doomed to listen to all the others 🙂
Oh, and I found out about the mystery song. The group is called Bullamakanka, and the song is named either “Doctor Who is gonna fix it,” or “The ballad of Doctor Who.”
The Starlost? eep. Don’t ever mention that one around Harlan Ellison, unless you think you can make it to minimum safe distance in time.
There’s a three or four part interview from the 70’s with Ellison that touches on Starlost. not much though, because he didn’t want to talk about it. Some interesting stuff in the interview though. I think for all the dumbness in the scripts, the set design was damn good for what they had to work with.
