ARGH!!!! Of all the shows for me to miss. I really wanted to listen in on this one. I have such a hard time catching your live show now.
Nettle. That’s the word I was trying to remember. People keep emailing me to tell me that plant is Stinging Nettle. It isn’t.
Nice idea for an episode. Great work!
So basically the second guy writes a soapbox atheist comic to push an agenda. How original; it is not like there are hundreds of comics out there with that agenda.
Don’t forget the wonderful comics of Sara Mayhew!

Here she is talking about her comics:

@ DesertEagle: With THAT agenda? There’s plenty of comics that push the opposite of that agenda, not to mention hundreds of other comics pushing other agendas.
I’d be more than happy to have an episode that focuses on Religion without the skeptic angle… or even of political comics that may go against what we and the majority of our current audience may believe in.
As much as some of us may disagree, I believe in fair voice on this show.
Once in a while I have tagged my strips with “skepticism”… hoping to one day shamelessly paste a link like this:
http://www.ohnorobot.com/index.pl?s=%3C%3Cskepticism%3E%3E&Search=Search&comic=775&e=0&n=0&b=0&m=0&d=0&t=0
There seems a bit of a problem with the website, links turning up 404 errors or just going back to the main page. And I can’t seem to download/listen to any of the episodes or look at your shiny new shirts 🙁 I’m sure you’ll have it fixed soon.
The T-Shirts link should be fixed. I was just a place-holder url. As far as other 404s… not sure what that was about… hopefully it was temporary.. if not, let me know!
[…] in their Horizons Watch podcast at Digital Strips. The Webcomic Beacon devotes show #116 to skeptics and comics (really?) and #117 to an interview with Howard Tayler, the driving force behind Schlock […]
Excellent. The only “agenda” skeptical comics “push” is to remind us all to think more critically. There should be more like these, because we could all be better skeptics. It’s really encouraging to hear about these comics outside the usual skeptic podcast rings (SGU, Geologic, skepticality, etc). It means there’s a larger audience being reached, and what is more: ENJOYING the work!
Can you guys interview Sarah Mayhew soon? LOVE her manga on skepticism!
